Our Family Training and Parent Coaching programs are designed to bridge the gap between clinical sessions and daily life. We empower caregivers with evidence-based strategies to support their child’s developmental milestones and communication goals in a natural home environment.
What to Expect
Personalized Coaching Sessions
Expect regular one-on-one meetings with your BCBA or lead therapist. These sessions are a safe space to ask questions, review progress, and practice new techniques together in a supportive environment.
Real-World Observations
Coaching often involves live practice. Your therapist may observe you interacting with your child and provide immediate, gentle feedback to help you refine your approach during playtime or daily chores.
Resource & Toolkit Access
You will receive practical tools to use at home, such as visual schedules, communication boards, or data tracking sheets. These resources make professional strategies easy to manage in a busy household.
Data-Informed Progress Reviews
We don’t just talk about progress; we show it. During our coaching sessions, we review your child’s data together so you can see exactly where they are succeeding and where we adjust our focus as a team.
How We Help
We work across three primary areas to support your child’s development
Collaborative Goal Alignment
We work directly with you to identify the priorities that matter most to your family. By aligning clinical goals with your child’s life at home, we ensure that therapy supports your daily routines and long-term family vision.
Hands-On Skill Transfer
Our coaching focuses on giving you the “how-to.” We demonstrate evidence-based techniques—such as prompting, reinforcement, and environmental setup—so you feel confident implementing these strategies outside of the center.
Emotional & Advocacy Support
Beyond clinical skills, we empower you to be your child’s best advocate. We provide resources to help you navigate school meetings, community resources, and the emotional journey of raising a child with unique needs.Parent Tips
We work across three primary areas to support your child’s development.
Prioritize “Special Time”
Dedicate 5–10 minutes a day to child-led play where there are no demands or instructions. Simply following your child’s lead builds a strong emotional bank account, making them more willing to cooperate.
Focus on One Skill at a Time
It’s tempting to fix everything at once, but progress happens faster when you focus. Choose one specific goal for the week and celebrate that win before moving to the next important milestone.
Use Visual Cues Everywhere
Visuals aren’t just for therapy; they are for life. Using a simple picture schedule or a kitchen timer for transitions helps reduce power struggles and gives your child a sense of control.
Practice Self-Compassion
Some days will be harder than others, and that is okay. Remember that you are learning a new language alongside your child. Consistency is important, but being kind to yourself is essential.
